War has emptied Veyrholt Valley.

Between two frozen mountain ranges, deep in a forest said to have grown from ancient graves, a small monastery still keeps its lanterns lit. The villages are abandoned. The roads are unsafe. Winter has sealed the rivers, buried the gardens, and worn the last four sisters down to hunger, cold, and prayer.
