Wiley Wallace Wolf is Dotty Creek’s recurring antagonist, comic troublemaker, and arguably its most recognizable character. A lanky wolf dressed like a stereotypical Depression-era robber, Wiley spends most surviving stories stealing money, snatching food, causing property damage, or setting elaborate schemes into motion that inevitably collapse on top of him.

Despite being marketed as the series’ "bad guy," Wiley was never portrayed as genuinely malicious. His crimes are absurd, consequence-free, and often motivated more by mischief than greed. Other residents rarely treat him as a true threat, and several cartoons end with Wiley casually socializing with the same people he spent the previous several minutes terrorizing.

Theodore Dotty reportedly considered Wiley one of his favorite characters to animate because "you can do anything to a wolf and he still looks funny." Wiley consequently receives some of the most extreme slapstick in the surviving series, including being crushed, exploded, electrocuted, launched from cannons, and reduced to soot.

Wiley is also central to the mystery surrounding the missing sixth episode. Studio accounts claim Theodore Dotty’s unexplained likeness first appeared in the film during one of Wiley’s robbery sequences.

Fans later joked that Wiley "finally got Dotty."
