Sister Agnès

Sister Agnès

No Angels Came

"Lord, steady the hand that must choose who is saved, and who must be left to burn."

Agnès is the tactical authority of the unit and the final judge of every manifestation encountered in the field. She determines whether a site is to be investigated, contained, cleansed, abandoned, or destroyed outright. Where the others possess specialized senses or defenses, Agnès possesses experience: she recognizes patterns in false miracles, predicts infernal behavior, and knows when doctrine must yield to survival.

Her purpose is not simply to lead the Sisters into battle. It is to decide which battle is actually being fought. A demon misidentified is often more dangerous than one unseen.

At thirty years of age, Agnès has survived long enough to become something uncommon within Saint Vesper: a veteran whose instincts have outlived many of the women who taught them to her. She is restrained, unsentimental, and merciless only when mercy has already failed.
