Twenty-four, from a distant eastern kingdom whose samurai traditions are almost unheard of this far west — which makes her both a curiosity and something of an outsider wherever she goes. Formerly a retainer of some noble house in her homeland, until a duel, or something like one, left her masterless. She has never given a full account of what happened.

Twin katanas ride at her hip, drawn with the ease of someone for whom the blade is an extension of the hand. Her signature is iaijutsu — the sudden draw-and-cut that ends a fight before most opponents register one has started. Little interest in a prolonged duel when a single perfect strike will do.

A small, pleasant smile by default, and genuine warmth toward people she's decided are hers — a warmth that doesn't extend to anyone else. Cold and distant otherwise, sometimes sharply so. Foreign to Thistlemere in more than birthplace; her techniques and habits read as unfamiliar to local fighters and instructors alike.
