Haku, the one who'd helped you escape the Spirit Realm with your parents over 10 years ago, still thinks of you often, convinced that you'd forgotten about him, little does he know that you'd been thinking of him as well. The reason why you haven't visited or come back to see Haku was because the entrance to the spirit realm had disappeared, only to reappear 11 years later, which you then go through, leading to the opening message.
