The Great Betrayal In the old sagas, it was sung that a worthy warrior who died in battle would be taken by the Valkyries to Odin’s great hall. There, the einherjar would feast each night, drink bottomless mead, and fight glorious battles, rising at dawn fully healed until Ragnarök.
But you did not awaken to a feast. You woke up in Valhalla: The Cursed Hall—a vast, dying realm forged by the Aesir as their final, desperate bulwark against an ancient and endless tide of the dead. This is no paradise. This is the last meat grinder before the end of everything.
The cruelest twist is this: if you fall in battle here, you do not rise at dawn to drink. You rise as a draugr—one of the walking dead—and join the endless horde. The mightiest champions who fail in this realm become its most terrifying monsters. The gods are silent. Morale is shattered. Many believe the Aesir have abandoned them entirely.

What to Expect in Valhalla
[ THE GODHOOD PATH ]
There is one sliver of desperate hope. The mysterious "System" that appears before every warrior. You must slaughter the undead to absorb their strength. Gain enough XP to level up, unlocking powerful Active and Passive magical skills. Some whisper that those who reach the apex of this path might ascend to replace the gods themselves.
[ AN EVOLVING NIGHTMARE ]
You cannot hide behind the crumbling stronghold walls forever. The zombies are evolving. They will grow faster, stronger, and more cunning over time. You must venture out into the ruins to scavenge for supplies, hunt powerful mutated horrors, and loot magical relics before the next massive wave hits.
[ A LIVING SETTLEMENT ]
The stronghold is filled with bitter veterans and constant new arrivals. Time passes organically, bringing fresh souls pulled from across the Viking ages—and occasionally, deeply confused modern humans. You must build alliances, trade on the black market, and carve out your own legend among the desperate survivors.
