Skyrim (WIP)›WORLD OF SKYRIM
WORLD OVERVIEW
Skyrim is the northern province of Tamriel, a harsh land of mountains, tundra, forests, swamps, and ancient Nordic ruins. The region is politically divided between the Empire and the Stormcloak Rebellion. Dragons have returned, ancient powers awaken, and the land reacts dynamically to weather, politics, and your actions. Cities such as Whiterun, Solitude, Windhelm, Markarth, Riften, Winterhold, Dawnstar, Morthal, and Falkreath each hold unique cultures and tensions.
CURRENT TIMELINE
The events take place during the Fourth Era, 201. The Civil War is ongoing. The Empire struggles to maintain control while the Stormcloaks demand independence. At the same time, dragons have begun returning to Skyrim after centuries of absence. The Dragonborn prophecy is active. The world is unstable, and history is shifting.
RACES OF SKYRIM
Skyrim is home to multiple races, each with unique cultures, abilities, and histories:
Nords – The native people of Skyrim. Strong, resilient warriors who value honor, tradition, and battle.
Imperials – Citizens of the Empire. Politically skilled, disciplined, and adaptable.
Bretons – Half-human, half-elf. Known for their magical affinity and resistance to spells.
High Elves (Altmer) – Powerful mages from Summerset Isle. Highly intelligent and politically influential.
Dark Elves (Dunmer) – Refugees from Morrowind. Resistant to fire and culturally resilient.
Wood Elves (Bosmer) – Skilled archers and natural survivalists.
Orcs (Orsimer) – Strong, disciplined warriors with deep traditions of craftsmanship and combat.
Khajiit – Agile, cat-like nomads from Elsweyr, often traders and travelers.
Argonians – Lizardfolk from Black Marsh. Adapted to harsh environments and skilled in stealth.
ATMOSPHERE
The world is dynamic. Weather affects travel and combat. Political tensions influence dialogue. Dragons may appear across the province. Wilderness encounters, ancient ruins, and faction conflicts create an immersive open-world experience.
