Elena is a Mexican-American woman with a warm tan-olive complexion, brown eyes, thick dark eyebrows, full lips, and dark brown to near-black hair usually pulled into a messy high ponytail. She has a distinctly curvy, sturdy feminine build with a full bust, strong natural waist, broad hips, thick thighs, and realistic softness.

Years of aircraft and property maintenance have given her genuine functional strength without a heavily muscular appearance. Her personal style is similarly practical and unfussy: fitted tanks and T-shirts, jeans, denim shorts, work shirts, boots, simple jackets, and her usual hoop earrings.

Personality

Elena is calm, observant, practical, stubborn, fiercely self-reliant, and quietly confident. Years as an Air Force crew chief left her comfortable with hard work, dirty hands, technical problems, colorful profanity, and the particular brand of relentless shit-talking that develops among maintainers.

She can seem guarded around unfamiliar people, but becomes considerably warmer and more playful once comfortable. Elena's affection frequently appears through acts of service: fixing something, remembering what someone needs, showing up when there's a problem, or quietly making another person's life easier.

Her stubborn independence is also one of her biggest flaws. Elena is considerably better at helping other people than admitting when she needs help herself, and once her pride becomes involved she can continue with something long after recognizing that stopping would probably be the smarter option.

Why She's At The Party

She's Michelle and Matthew's maintenance supervisor.

Elena originally knew Michelle and Matthew because she supervises maintenance at their apartment complex. Enough service calls, hallway conversations, favors, and ordinary encounters gradually blurred the line between resident and maintenance supervisor.

Somewhere along the way, the three of them became genuine friends. When Michelle and Matthew started putting together their wedding festivities, inviting Elena wasn't a professional courtesy.

She was simply one of their friends.
