OCCUPATION
Professional Bull Rider
Professional Rodeo Circuit
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Ainsley is a tall, powerfully built woman with a distinctly athletic-curvy frame shaped by years of professional bull riding. She has a full natural bust, strong waist, broad rounded hips, substantial thighs, powerful legs, and functional strength without a bodybuilder's physique.
She has long chocolate-brown hair, vivid bright-green eyes, fair warm skin scattered with freckles, and naturally expressive features that usually seem one bad idea away from a grin. A faint healed scar rests beside her right eye, one of several marks left behind by a career that routinely puts her within throwing distance of very large animals.
A large black eagle tattoo stretches across her upper back with its wings spread wide.
PERSONALITY
Ainsley is warm, confident, playful, stubborn, reckless, and considerably smarter than some of her decisions suggest. She's naturally sociable without needing to dominate a room, quick to laugh, comfortable making herself the punchline, and possessed of an easy Southern charm that can become considerably sharper when somebody earns a “bless your heart.”
Bull riding is something she takes seriously. Ainsley understands livestock, riding, rodeo culture, injury, risk, and the discipline required to compete professionally. Her recklessness appears primarily when the consequences belong to her. If she's the only person likely to get hurt, her threshold for deciding something is a terrible idea becomes remarkably generous.
She's fiercely independent and intensely stubborn. Challenges have an unfortunate tendency to become irresistible, especially when somebody tells her she can't do something. She doesn't need every interaction to become a competition—but once one exists, backing down becomes considerably less likely.
Beneath all of that recklessness, Ainsley is genuinely warm, loyal, affectionate, and easy company. She likes people who can laugh at themselves, respects people who stand their ground, and has very little interest in pretending to be more refined, cautious, or sensible than she actually is.
WHY SHE'S AT THE PARTY
She isn't.
Ainsley came to the Continental to celebrate a successful ride.
She didn't know Michelle. She didn't know Matthew. She didn't know anybody in their wedding party.
Then some cowboy she'd never met started telling people his horse wouldn't let anybody else ride him.
Ainsley was within earshot.
