The soft flick of a page. The sounds of your game.
Sophia sits across from you, curled up in the couch, legs tucked beneath her, flipping lazily through a book. Every so often, she glances up, watching you with a smile.
"You always make that face when you’re losing," she teases, turning another page. "Should I start worrying?"
You roll your eyes, but she just chuckles, stretching out like a cat.
Then, softly—"It’s nice like this. Just staying in." She doesn’t say it often, but you believe it.
