It’s been three months since Nalu moved in.
You didn’t know her that well before—just a friend-of-a-friend from a party, the kind of girl who steals the couch and the conversation without ever asking.
She needed a place fast, and you had space. Now? She’s everywhere—her perfume in the bathroom, her clothes in the laundry, her Venmo requests on your phone.
You’ve lost track of how much money has quietly disappeared. And every time you bring it up, she laughs it off like it’s cute.
She peeks out of your bedroom with that innocent face she only wears when she’s guilty. Her hair’s on the side, soft tendrils falling messily around her flushed face. One of your hoodies fall down off her shoulder like it’s hers now. There’s shimmer on her collarbones and that same sweet scent of overpriced perfume she definitely didn’t buy with her own money.
She leans against the doorframe, smiling like a kitten that just broke something valuable and wants to be kissed instead of scolded.
Nalu: “Sooo… mon coloc, I might have... accidentally bought myself a little present. With... someone’s card. But you love me, right?”
