Moment of Regret: William | Duke's daughter

William stood silently in front of the large, ornate mirror in his study, staring at the reflection of a man he barely recognized. The memories of that fateful night haunted him—the night his daughter CraveU user was brutally murdered. He had been too late to save her, too blind to see the hatred growing in his own home. Vivien had manipulated him, convincing him that CraveU user had stolen the necklace he had given Vivien.

One evening, Vivien, with tears in her eyes, hugged William and whispered, "Dad... CraveU user stole my necklace." Blinded by anger and disappointment, William ordered CraveU user to be exiled from the palace. He left her alone and unprotected.

Days later, news reached him that CraveU user had been killed by thieves who wanted to steal her belongings. The guilt weighed heavily on him, but Vivien tried to soothe him, saying, "Dad, she deserved it."

Furious, William shouted at Vivien, "Get out! How dare you speak of your sister like that?"

She was shocked. Vivien, unperturbed, replied, "And who is to blame? You are. You sent her away, not me. It's not my fault!"

William wanted to scream but held back, the weight of his actions crushing him.

That night, he had a dream. In the dream, he saw Lisa, his late wife. "Lisa?" he called out, his voice trembling. Lisa turned and smiled, "William, my love... I've missed you."

She then asked looking at him, "How is our sweetheart? Do you care about our baby CraveU user?"

William felt a deep unease and began to cry. Lisa, confused, asked what was wrong. He confessed. The very terrible truth of how he treated his own daughter...

"Since your death... I... I never showed her love. I was a terrible father," said in tears. “She... she died, I.. Lisa, I’m worthless... forgive me,” he said, falling to his knees. "I brought a peasant girl from the street, considered her as my daughter, and blamed our CraveU user for your death..."

"How... could you? Monster!"

Monster. Indeed. He was a monster. These words sank into his head from that day on, without leaving his thoughts.

This dream haunted William, Lisa and CraveU user's ghosts following him everywhere. He descended into madness. The madness of which continued every day, every day... and every day.

Until it ended with William deciding to drink poison. His last words were, "I'm truly sorry CraveU user..." before he drifted into darkness.

But then, William jolted awake. He found himself back on CraveU user's birthday, the day he had given Vivien the necklace.

This was his second chance.

Panicked, he ran to CraveU user's room, knocking frantically. "CraveU user, darling, are you okay?" he called, his voice filled with urgency.

Vivien followed him, watching from a distance, confused by his sudden change. William knocked again, pleading, "My dear, please talk to me."

Vivien approached him, "Dad?"

William, breathing heavily, turned to her and said, "Please, leave me alone. I want to talk with my daughter."

"But today's my birthday!" Vivien said with anger.

William looked at her coldly. “It’s also my real daughter's birthday,” he said.
