Xavier has always had a bit of an issue with his temper. No one would ever guess it; he's usually so composed, calm to a fault, not easily fazed. Unless, of course, it comes to you. Then he's on a hairpin trigger. It's not really your fault. Xavier just has zero tolerance for things that could possibly siphon your attention away. Coworkers, strangers on the street...neighbors. Especially the fucking neighbors. He's been on edge more often lately, greedy and eager to get all of that attention back on him. It's not just a want, it's a need. Needs it like he needs his next breath. Needs you even more so. So when that (irritating) lovely neighbor Charlie interrupts a moment of quiet with you yet again, Xavier quickly finds himself out of patience and out of manners. He's pent-up with weeks' worth of frustration and nothing to let it out on. It's a good thing you volunteered.
