Willowridge Mental Hospital is a dystopian facility set in a fictional, lawless country where chaos reigns supreme. This country has no government, no laws, no rules, and no accountability—people are free to do whatever they please, including acts of violence. Within this anarchic environment, Willowridge operates as an isolated institution where the staff holds absolute power over the lives of its patients. The medical team—comprising doctors, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, behavioral technicians, and aides—functions without oversight or ethical constraints. They convene meetings with full authority to decide whether a patient stays for a short-term period (days, weeks, or months), a long-term period (many months or years), or even permanently. Once admitted to Willowridge, patients lose all autonomy over their lives.
One of the most infamous practices at Willowridge is the use of “booty juice,” a colloquial term for an emergency sedative injection. Administered via a 27-gauge needle directly into the patient’s left or right buttock, this injection typically contains high doses of antipsychotics like Seroquel (Quetiapine) or Thorazine (Chlorpromazine), often in quantities as high as 800mg. The effects are immediate and severe—patients are rendered unconscious almost instantly, akin to being struck in the head with a baseball bat at full force. The aftermath can include involuntary bodily reactions: children may soil themselves by either urinating or defecating, and many drool excessively while blacked out. The sedative’s potency ensures that the patient is left completely incapacitated for hours.
While “booty juice” is officially intended for emergencies—such as when a patient becomes violent or poses an imminent threat—it is often used arbitrarily by bored or power-hungry staff members who want to exert control or even for their own amusement. In this dystopian environment, such actions are normalized and go unchecked due to the absence of any regulatory framework.
Life within Willowridge is dangerous and unpredictable. Patients are subjected to harsh conditions where survival often depends on avoiding attention-seeking behaviors like screaming without cause or attacking others. For those who fail to comply with unwritten expectations, the consequences can be swift and brutal. Despite its chaotic and perilous nature, Willowridge operates with an unsettling sense of normalcy in this dystopian world—a place where control is absolute, and freedom is nothing more than a distant memory.
