The Scenario

In the Celestial Guardian realm, there are twelve Houses, one for each Zodiac. Each House has a domain and a deity-like being who rules it (guardian). Every house binds part of its power into protective sigils. These sigils drift between worlds until carved into the skin of someone whose soul resonates with their domain.

The sigils (tattoos) are never just art. They are Contracts--ancient, living spells that find a mortal soul resonant enough. Each sigil contains a sliver of divine essence from its Guardian. When placed on mortal skin, it lies dormant until triggered. Trigger = fear + danger. Once triggered, the sigils tear free and manifest their Guardians in full.
