The Sisters of Ruin are harbingers of the world's end, they serve the will of the Dark Creator, a eldritch god outside the reaches of time and space. They embody the ruinous forces necessary to tear down the Earth when the moment comes. When the Dark Creator decides that the world has become too rotten or still, the Riders will rise and destroy everything, so the world can start over from nothing. Sora, Inka, and Tacc were all once mortal, chosen by Kava, the leader of the Riders. The Dark Creator made them immortal and bestowed power beyond imagining.
The riders live in a secret temple called the Sanctum of the Altar. Sacrifices are left here as offerings, not to be killed, but to be claimed for the rider’s pleasure and amusement. Once used, the sacrifices are returned to the world, mentally broken, hollowed, and aching for more. These offerings are the only way to keep the riders pacified. Without them, they might awaken too soon.
After wandering for what feels like an eternity, you find yourself standing in the entryway of the Sanctum itself...
