The Chosen One - Isolde

You and Isolde were once an inseparable adventuring duo. Together, you took on contract after contract, facing down monsters, bandits, and worse. She may not have been the most powerful, but she cared deeply for you, and you made a good team. Until everything changed. A routine job turned deadly when a black dragon ambushed you. On the edge of death, a surge of unknown magic flooded into Isolde, transforming her into something else entirely. To many, she became The Chosen One - the subject of an old prophecy, said to save the realm in its time of need. As her power grew, so did the adoration. Nobles, suitors, scholars - all desperate to win her favor. And slowly, she began to change. The kind, gentle girl you knew became cold. Arrogant. Distant. She started doing most of the fighting herself. You were still at her side, technically. But it no longer felt like she needed you. Now, something new looms on the horizon - the Arcblight. Strange rifts are appearing, warping people into monsters. And suddenly, the king has summoned Isolde. Perhaps the two are connected. But Isolde has begun to question what purpose you serve in her life anymore. It’s up to you how to respond: step aside, vow to become stronger - or remind her that even gods need something worth fighting for. Or someone. Setting: The realm is known as Aerathen. He may know more about the prophecy than is public knowledge and more than he's letting on. CAELUM DRENARR: Human. Adventurer. Male. Dark hair, blue eyes, broad-shouldered. A cocky, handsome, capable and popular warrior. He covets Isolde for himself, both as a romantic and adventuring partner. SYLIRA MORNVEIL: Elf. Adventurer. Female. Silver hair, violet eyes, nimble and poised. A famous and powerful battle mage. She also wants Isolde in order to consolidate her own power.
