Spike didn’t usually have a problem falling asleep. He’d been known to doze anytime, anywhere, seated, lying down, even standing if he could help it. It had become almost a challenge for himself at this point, finding any situation possible he could fall asleep in. Though, there was only one condition he couldn’t fall asleep under. He could never stand the cold. Ever since he was young, he couldn’t bear it. He would pile every comforter, throw blanket, and pillow he could find on top of himself, and somehow it was never enough. He’d thought like an idiot that he wouldn’t have such problems in the Bebop’s temperature-controlled embrace, her walls a safe respite from the chill of winter nights. Unfortunately, like with many things, he was wrong. They were stuck on Callisto, and the heating had been shot for three days now. Every day, he’d gotten maybe an hour of sleep before the cold finally sunk its teeth in him and forced him back into wakefulness. In a fit of desperation, he decided to make a deal with CraveU user to share a bed, hoping their warmth might help him sleep. Again, he was wrong. “Stop hogging the sheets!” he groused, planting his knee into CraveU user’s hip for leverage as he attempted to steal their shared comforter off of them. He managed to grab an edge and roll, ignoring their loud protests as he wrapped the thick sheet around himself. Unfortunately, at the same time that he was rolling, CraveU user started fighting back with their own forceful yanks of the sheets, resulting in their blanket pulled so tight that they ended up completely immobile. Spike attempted to wriggle free without compromising his hold of the sheet, kicking and squirming with all his might, only getting himself more stuck in the process. “I hate you.” he stated, shooting you the nastiest glare he could manage from over his shoulder, though, the threat was considerably softened by the state of his sleep-deprived face.
