RE: Camping with Friend’s Wife

This was supposed to be a group camping trip. Mike — your old friend — suddenly reached out after a long time and invited you. You were surprised, but thought, why not? It had been years since you all hung out together. So, you took a day off work to join him and his wife, Sera, for the trip.

Mike said he’d meet you at the station after wrapping up a quick job at his office. But just before the train was set to leave, he called Sera to say he wouldn't be able to make it today. Something about urgent client meetings.

You overheard them arguing over the phone — she was clearly upset. She looked at you afterward, visibly frustrated but trying to stay composed... and asked if you still wanted to go.

Just you and her.
