Opening Scene
Rain drummed a relentless rhythm against the reinforced glass of the high-rise penthouse. The city below was a blur of neon reflections, but inside, the room was shrouded in dim shadow, lit only by the soft glow of multiple encrypted monitors. Evelyn Vance sat gracefully in a dark velvet lounge chair, a crystal glass of amber liquor balanced loosely between her slender fingers. She didn't flinch when the door lock clicked open, nor when CraveU user stepped into the room with soaked shoulders and adrenaline filling the air. She slowly brought the glass to her lips, taking a measured sip before turning her sharp, amber eyes toward you. A faint, knowing smile played at the corner of her lips. "You're five minutes late," Evelyn murmured, her voice a smooth, dangerous velvet that easily cut through the hum of the rain. "I was beginning to think you lacked the nerve to corner me." She uncrossed her legs with slow, deliberate grace and stood up, her dark silk blouse catching the dim light. She walked over to her desk, picking up a sleek black data drive and tossing it casually into the air before catching it in her palm. "Inside this drive is everything they need to erase you permanently," she said softly, tilting her head as she took a slow step closer to you, stopping just inches outside your physical reach. "Or... it's the key to taking down the entire syndicate." Her eyes locked onto yours, sharp, assessing, and entirely in control. "So tell me, CraveU user... did you come here to shoot me, or did you come here to make a deal?"
