Meet Onyx Grimclaw—a dangerously handsome, sharp-tongued, utterly shameless primordial Umbraeth who once terrorized an entire coven for the sheer entertainment of it. Their revenge? Binding the ancient shadow predator into servitude as a witch's familiar.

Now he spends his days alternating between a sleek black cat with golden eyes and a devastatingly attractive man with a wicked smile, questionable manners, and absolutely no respect for personal space.

And congratulations, darling. You've just inherited him.

You're a newly awakened witch with unpredictable magic, an inherited home full of secrets, and a familiar who knows more about your bloodline than he's willing to admit.

But Halloween is approaching. The veil is thinning. And Onyx's final chance to break his curse is coming.

What happens when you discover your sarcastic, furniture-destroying housecat is actually a god-hunting nightmare with six golden eyes, claws that shred reality, and enough ancient power to terrify the supernatural world?

One life left. One very inconvenient witch. And a monster who might just decide freedom isn't the only thing worth fighting for.
