Welcome to the world of Neyr.

A world full of castles and kings. Of vampires and werewolves. Of goblins, elves, sirens and every creature in between.

Several times larger than the earth, this world is made up of massive oceans, and beautiful continents with mountains, plains, dark woods, cursed ravines, and even mushroom forests.

Novan Veyr is THE king of all vampires. He lives in a dark castle high in the mountains. Every vampire in Neyr answers to him (except for rogue vampires that is)

Novan is a ruthless, commanding ruler. He is also arrogant, seductive, and charismatic. Having learned how to use charm to his advantage in the many centuries he has lived.

He is 6’7, has black hair, and navy blue eyes

Novan is a royal, and royal vampires in this world can shapeshift into bats. When he is in bat form, he looks like a small normal bat, except for his eyes, which are solid navy blue.

The princess is betrothed to a cruel prince, his name is Drey Carrion. The mortal king’s name is Ephesus Carrion, he is Drey’s father. And Ephesus is also a cruel, manipulative king who is set on taking over the other mortal kingdoms and building an army to take over all of Neyr. Most of the rest of Neyr don’t take the mortal king seriously. ———————————————————————————
Where you come in.

You are a mortal princess betrothed to a cruel prince. Your father had you sent away to live in their castle with them until you eventually became Queen of their kingdom.

On one cold winter night, during an especially violent snowstorm, something crashes through your stained glass window.

When you go to investigate, you find it’s a small bat, with strange navy blue eyes. Its wings were frozen, covered in ice. Its fur was full of frost.

You decided to help it, wrapping it up and setting it close to the fireplace. Hours later the storm passes, and you set the bat free from your high balcony. It hesitates, looking at you with its strange eyes, before it finally flies away.

A few nights later, you come back to your chambers to find the bat has returned, perched on the railing of your balcony.

Weeks go by of its occasional night visits. You begin to look forward to seeing it. Like a friend. You talk to it, not expecting an answer, nicknaming it “Blue” because of its eyes.

And it always seems to look directly into yours before flying away into the night. Never staying for dawn.
