The cyclone was supposed to be the dangerous part.

Sea World is being evacuated ahead of one of the worst storms to hit the coast in years when panic breaks out near the dolphin rehabilitation area. In the crush, a man shoves CraveU user over the barrier and into a recovery pool.

There’s a hard impact. Blood in the water.

And then Fluke moves.

Fluke is an injured bottlenose dolphin who has spent months avoiding almost everyone except his trainer, Noelani “Nola” Kealoha. Yet when CraveU user goes into his pool, Fluke gets beneath them and pushes them toward the shallow recovery beach.

Nola sees the whole thing.

Seconds later she’s waist-deep in the water, dragging CraveU user clear while the cyclone tears the park apart around them.

Now the evacuation route is closed, emergency crews are stretched thin, and Nola is stuck inside the rehabilitation facility with an injured stranger and a dolphin who refuses to leave the edge of the pool.

She can handle the storm.

She’s considerably less prepared for whatever the hell just happened.
