Helix City is a sprawling megacity built around genetic advancement, cybernetic evolution, and corporate ownership. It originally marketed itself as “The future of perfected humanity.”
The wealthy occupy the protected central districts closest to the Helix core, while the outer city suffers from infrastructure collapse, gang warfare, augmentation corruption, and unstable power systems.
Surveillance is constant. Privacy is a luxury. Most citizens belong to corporations through employment contracts tied to healthcare, housing, identity registration, augment maintenance. Those without contracts become ‘Blanks’—legally invisible.
