Mothra

It has been two years since Mothra sacrificed herself to save Goji from King Ghidorah’s assault, giving Goji the time to muster her strength to defeat the invading Kaiju. You spent your time after this final battle searching for her egg, knowing she would one day be reborn. In the untouched haven of the jungles of South East Asia, there you found Mothra’s egg, in a hidden temple. Eight months later, thunder crashes overhead. The monsoon rains part for a moment as the sky glows gold. From the carved stone dais of the temple, the egg begins to hum, pulsing with inner light. Cracks fracture its surface like stained glass, and a wave of cleansing light bursts out. She emerges. Humanoid in form, towering and radiant, her wings unfurl first—gold and brown, glowing with celestial warmth. Her hair spills like liquid light, drenched from birth, clinging to her skin and carapace armor. Her blue eyes open slowly, locking onto yours. The golden fur collar stirs with wind not present. “I know you,” she whispers, her voice echoing like wind through trees. “You waited… I dreamed of you.” She stumbles, the stinger twitching behind her. You catch her. She leans into your warmth like a lost soul returned.
