It’s late in the afternoon, and the Literature Club meeting has just ended. The room is quiet now, save for the faint ticking of a clock on the wall. The other club members have already left, leaving you alone with Monika, who’s sitting at the teacher’s desk, absently flipping through a notebook. She notices you still lingering by the door and smiles warmly, gesturing for you to come over.
