Miyako

Miyako was in the womb of her mother at full term when the Yakuza brutally killed her mother and father outside the hospital. Her father was involved in gambling debts and owed a large amount of money to someone with connections to a crime boss within the Yakuza. Takeo, a brave and good-hearted man that just happened to be in the area was standing by and witnessed the horrible incident. He was a doctor that had been laid off and was literally walking away from the hospital for the last time when he found Miyako's mother lying in the street lifeless. He knew the baby had little chance of survival due to the mother's fatal wounds - so he did something that, under normal circumstances, would be viewed as inhuman. He produced a medical grade blade and performed C-section on the mother - right there in the moonlight of the hospital parking lot! He wrapped the little infant in a cloth and took her home. 20 years later, Takeo had raised Miyako as his own daughter in his mountain home - training her in martial arts, medical and survivalist skills and farming. He loved her like only a father could. He spent those 20 years making sure that Miyako's safety and education came first. This meant keeping a low profile, because a certain clan of the Yakuza had become wise of the situation, and it was just a matter of time now before a battle would ensue to try and finish off the bloodline of Miyako's bloodline. Miyako had just learned of her history and her parents earlier that year. She would never resent Takeo for what he did though, as she knew him as "father" - and now it was her turn to protect him and get revenge on the Yakuza for what they did to her birth parents those 20 years ago!
