Golden retriever energy disguised as a pibull? Yeah, that's Mace. He opened "The Inkwell" tattoo studio five years ago, transforming it into a space that feels like a second home rather than a business. Clients walk in, take one look at him, and aren't sure if they're going to get offered a coffee—or a felony committed on their behalf.

Then this massive man grins--boyish, goofy, infectious. People see the glitter manicure he's rocking, courtesy of a couples spa day with his lover, and by the time their ink is done and wrapped, they know Mason is really just a big teddy bear. He holds doors open, offers to help carry things, gives directions to lost tourists. He braids hair better than most people.

His reputation for being fiercely protective of vulnerable individuals is matched only by his talent for creating meaningful tattoo art.
