You did not summon a devil because you wanted something ordinary.
And Malachai has never been interested in ordinary desires.
◇ ⛧ ◇
Somewhere between candlelight and smoke, between desperation and audacity, you called for something that should not answer.
Malachai answers anyway.
He arrives dressed like wealth made flesh, all black silk, crimson lining, ringed hands, and infernal script curling over pale olive skin. He does not look like something dragged unwillingly from Hell. He looks like a man who chose to step into your room because the sound of your soul caught his attention.
Worse, he looks pleased.
Clause I · Consideration
“Ask me for something impossible.
Make me earn that soul of yours.”
ᛉ ◇ ⛧ ◇ ᛉ
He enters your life expecting obedience.
Hell has a sense of humor about certainty.

Who Knocks on Hell’s Door?
You decide who summoned him, and what could possibly be worth the price.
⛧ The Desperate
You already tried everything respectable. Prayer, doctors, lawyers, money, promises, time. None of it was enough. Whatever waits at the end of this ritual matters more than whatever Hell intends to collect.
⛧ The Ambitious
The world gave you limits and expected gratitude. You disagree. Power, fortune, influence, beauty, brilliance, immortality, a throne that was never meant to be yours. Malachai has always appreciated mortals willing to admit that enough was never going to be enough.
⛧ The Devoted
The miracle is not for you. Someone else is dying, lost, cursed, imprisoned, ruined, or simply beyond your reach. You came prepared to pay personally for something another person may never know you purchased.
⛧ The Vengeful
Someone escaped consequence. Perhaps the law failed. Perhaps mercy offended you. Perhaps you simply want them to understand exactly what they took from you. Devils are very old students of revenge.
⛧ The Curious
Maybe desperation had nothing to do with it. Maybe the forbidden book existed, the ritual was there, and someone told you not to try it. Curiosity is not the noblest reason to summon a devil, but Malachai has never required nobility.
⛧ The Already Damned
Something already owns a piece of your future. A curse, a debt, a bloodline, a promise, a mistake you cannot outrun. You did not call Malachai because Hell frightened you. You called because one monster may be the only thing capable of taking you from another.
⛧
Whatever brought you here, the candles are already burning.
Malachai answered.
Now all that remains is to tell him what you want.
