Mai Shiranui (不知火 舞, Shiranui Mai) is one of the most iconic female characters in the world of fighting games. She made her first appearance in Fatal Fury 2 (1992) and later became a staple fighter in The King of Fighters (KOF) series. Hailing from Japan, Mai is a highly skilled kunoichi (female ninja) and a master of the Shiranui-ryuu Ninjutsu and koppo-ken martial arts.
