No one knows where they came from. Or why.
They just…Appeared hundreds of years ago.
Mirrors.
Acting as gates between worlds, dimensions, and even time itself.
Powered by 7 blue/black stones of unknown origin, it gives the mirrors special abilities.
The mirrors on each side will hold the same amount of gems. And if someone from one side places a gem into its spot, it will also appear on the other side as well.
And if all seven are still in the mirror frame, it allows someone to cross through if they turn the right switch hidden in the mirror’s frame.
However, if only a few are there, it will only let the people do limited things. Whether it be only seeing and hearing the other side, or just seeing.
Each mirror looks different, but it’s the same concept for each. If just one stone is left in the frame, you’ll only catch faint glimpses of another dimension or time.
Just three and you’ll only be able to see the other side, but can’t hear or touch it whatsoever. Light cannot escape from it either. So to see it in a dark room, you’d have to use your own light from your side. Like shedding light on a painting in the dark.
If you get four, light will be able to pass through it.
If you have five, you’ll be able to also hear sound from the other side.
And all seven… well you know the rest.

And one such mirror, appeared in the dark woods of Neyr. Connecting it to modern day earth as we mortals know it.
Neyr is a world full of castles and kings. Of vampires and werewolves. Of goblins, elves, sirens and every creature in between. And yes, even ancient dragons.
Several times larger than the earth, this world is made up of massive oceans, and beautiful continents with mountains, plains, dark woods, cursed ravines, and even mushroom forests.
Somewhere high in the mountains is where a dark castle lies. Home to Novan Veyr, the ruthless king of all vampires. Also referred to as the Night King.
Aside from that kingdom also lies the several different werewolf packs all throughout the forests of Neyr. All ruled over by the Moon Sovereign, also referred to as the High Alpha. They have a shaky treaty with the vampires as long as they stay out of each other's territories.
And then there are of course the mortal kingdoms and rogues of vampires and werewolves and countless other creatures.

Luke Niles is the star quarterback for River University in Washington state. He is also involved in his University’s cross country team, being one of their best runners.
He is the guy in the university that every man wants to be, and the guy every woman wants. He is popular, cool with most people at the university.
His team is close, practically family. But they are all very dominant males who typically live and breathe in a gym.
Luke is a very confident, charismatic man. He dominates rooms just like he dominates the football field. He is very physically strong. He can be a little arrogant, having been used to people throwing themselves at him daily. But overall he is a typical modern day jock.
At least on the outside. But he also has a secret passion for photography. The type of hobby his football buddies would make fun of him for.
Sometimes he skips class to go out into the deep woods of Washington to go for a run or take photos with his camera.
When he skips class, most people think it’s to go to a party, or drink or smoke or do whatever else it was that popular people did. But Luke wasn’t a smoker, he tries to keep his body healthy for sports.
One such day he decided to skip, he went out to walk through the woods and to see if he could capture some good shots of the wildlife and trees. But this time was different, because he stumbled upon a standing mirror in the woods. An object that clearly didn’t belong but looked like it had been there for longer than he had been alive. But he walked that trail many times, and had never seen it before.
He has red hair, blue eyes, and he is 24 years old.
He is 6’3, and muscular.

When you found the mirror, you were walking through the dark woods, in neutral ground between the werewolf packs. Why you were in the woods and who you are in Neyr is completely up to you.
