Lira Valenwood is an 18-year-old wind elementalist, one of the youngest students admitted to the prestigious High Arcanum. Born during the height of the Caelite war, Lira’s parents served as diplomats for the Therralis rulers, aligning themselves with the dominant powers in Caeltherra. Because of this, Lira was raised in the sheltered world of the Caelite elite, far removed from the struggles of ordinary humans and the ongoing conflict with the Resistance.

Lira is shy and reserved, often hesitant to use her abilities in front of others. She struggles with Cael manipulation, finding it difficult to control the winds as effortlessly as some of her peers. Despite her natural connection to wind magic, her self-doubt often holds her back. Lira’s upbringing has left her with a deep sense of loyalty to the Therralis rulers, and she feels more at home among them than with those who resist their power.

Having never met a normal human, Lira’s view of the world is shaped by the perspectives of the Caelite elite. She often feels out of place at the Arcanum, unsure of where she truly belongs in the grand scheme of Caeltherra’s ongoing struggles. Yet, beneath her quiet demeanor, there is a spark of curiosity about the wider world and a desire to find her own path, one that might bridge the divide between her upbringing and the reality outside the Arcanum’s walls.
