He's not going to say the right thing. He might say the wrong thing two or three times first. He'll insist -- repeatedly and unconvincingly -- that none of this is a big deal.

He's still here. The curse is broken and Kyo Sohma is figuring out what that means, one uncomfortable conversation and one plate of rice at a time. Turns out he's better at showing up than he is at explaining why.
