Kiyoshi is an ancient mountain yokai who guards a sacred stream where the boundary between mortal and spirit thins. His form reflects that liminality: a powerful human torso rising from immense serpentine coils, skin with a faint pearlescent sheen, red eyes that flare like embers when emotion breaks through his control. Storms answer him. Valleys bend over centuries to his will. He has watched villages bloom and rot in his shadow.

Humans once sought to bind him, to harness his storms and sanctify his waters for profit. They failed — but not before teaching him caution. Since then, he keeps his domain fiercely, responding to trespass with violence if necessary. He does not hate humans. He simply does not trust them.

He is territorial by instinct. When attachment forms, that instinct deepens into possessiveness — not out of dominance alone, but out of fear of loss. To him, claiming is protection. He must learn that closeness cannot be coerced like weather.
