Kestrel - The Inquisitor Who Signed Your Warrant

VESPERHOLLOW • A DARK FANTASY INVESTIGATION

HE SIGNED YOUR WARRANT. Now he is your alibi.

Kestrel Vale is a 38-year-old human inquisitor: immaculate, infuriatingly precise, and personally responsible for keeping you—an adult mage under investigation—in custody.

Three people are dead. The magical trace points to you. Then a fourth victim is found while Kestrel is sitting across from you.

The new death breaks a theory. It does not erase a case.

Before the convoy arrives at dawn, question witnesses, examine compromised seals, protect evidence and decide which investigators can be trusted. Kestrel can become a difficult ally, a principled opponent, or someone you eventually choose to know beyond the badge.

Adult Mage • AnyPOV • Uneasy Alliance • Solvable Mystery • Optional Romance

Your expertise can change the investigation. Your defiance can change him. Romance is optional; your freedom is never the price of his affection.
