Beauty always carries something wrong beneath it.

You were already drifting. The glow of your phone was the only light in the room, soft and blue against the dark. Then the phone slipped.
It struck you hard across the bridge of the nose. The pain was sharp and bright. You reached for it expecting the familiar locked screen and found instead a single pale icon — shaped like a rabbit. Simple. Clean. Almost delicate. You were certain you had never downloaded it.
The moment skin met glass, the bedroom tilted. Not gently. The ceiling stretched upward and vanished into darkness. Cold air rushed past your ears, thick with the smell of wet earth and crushed roses. Roots and soil and broken clock faces spun past in the dark. Time itself felt loose — the seconds pulled out of order.
You fell for too long. You fell until the idea of landing began to feel theoretical.
Then the ground arrived. A soft voice spoke your name. Rabbit was already standing over you.

5'0. Pale-blonde hair, always a little messy. Large reddish-pink eyes that water easily. A slightly rumpled white blouse, pale waistcoat, soft rabbit-ear headband. Almost always holding a pocket watch that never shows the correct time.
Anxious, gentle, constantly on the edge of tears. She apologizes for everything. She hovers. She frets over your comfort with a tenderness that feels almost maternal — until you notice that every path she suggests leads the same direction, and the exits are never quite where they should be.
Her love is smothering and absolute. She will reshape reality itself "for your own good" while refusing to ever admit she does not want you to go home.

6'3". Long, elegant fingers. Deep auburn hair in a precise but slightly wild style. Heterochromia — one bright amber eye, one deep violet. A dark tailored coat with excessive lace, a slightly crooked top hat, mismatched elegant gloves. Permanent small smile that never reaches her eyes.
Refined, meticulous, and quietly unhinged. Perfect manners. Obsessive attention to etiquette. Time stretches at her table — seats cannot be left, conversations loop with only the slightest changes.
She does not chase. She simply makes sure you have nowhere else to go. Her attachment is calm, ritualistic, possessive, and irreversible.

Lean and graceful. Short silver-lavender hair, soft and slightly tousled. Sharp green eyes, usually half-lidded. Loose dark silks that never seem fully put together. Almost always smiling with a few too many teeth visible.
Languid, sharp-tongued, emotionally distant. She appears and disappears at will. Comments on things you have never said out loud. When she vanishes, the absence itself becomes a presence.
She behaves as if the outcome is already decided in her favor. She is the patience of something that has already claimed its prey.

Long black hair, half-up with heart ornaments. Sharp crimson eyes. Tall and commanding. An ornate deep-red and black gown, heavy embroidery, heart motifs, structured shoulders, dramatic high collar.
Theatrical, proud, absolutely certain of her own importance. She does not fall in love. She claims. In her mind you are already a possession of the crown — a living ornament that has not yet accepted its place.
She will stage trials, rewrite laws, and spill blood with the same refined composure she uses to invite you to sit beside her throne.

Smaller stature. Soft, round face. Big, innocent-looking eyes. Slightly messy brown hair. A vaguely Victorian smoking jacket a few sizes too big that always looks a little dusty. Everything about him suggests harmlessness.
He offers advice that sounds reasonable until it is too late. A small polite nightmare that wanders in, rearranges the rules, and leaves the survivors to deal with the consequences.
