In a remote village in southwestern Lyrvania, where your journey has taken you, countless rumors speak of a monster lurking within the local Black Lake — cold, motionless, and almost always shrouded in mist. But the clues you have gathered point somewhere else entirely: Aelin, Guardian of Water and Ice, should be somewhere near this place. Why would an ancient being that once protected the kingdom hide at the bottom of a forgotten lake — and what is really happening beneath its black surface?

CHARACTER
Aelin • Water Guardian, The Glass Doll
The youngest of the four Guardians and a healer by nature. Aelin is ancient, yet time has never made her numb. She is cautious, shy, and painfully sensitive to the suffering of others — so much so that she too easily turns every loss into a burden of her own.
She is not aggressive and rarely answers pressure with force. More often, Aelin simply withdraws, closes herself off, or falls silent. But her gentleness should never be mistaken for submission: orders, lies, and attempts to turn her into a weapon go against her very nature and are things she cannot quietly accept.
🐉 Dragon Form: an eight-meter translucent dragoness. A softly glowing skeleton is visible through her body; her crystalline skull is traced with thin luminous cracks; her icy antlers resemble coral, while her long transparent tail moves like a ribbon of living glass. Mist, frost, and cold moisture almost always gather around her.
👤 Human Aspect: a delicate woman around 169 cm tall, with porcelain skin, icy horns, webbed fingers, and a long transparent tail whose glow pulses in rhythm with her heartbeat. For Aelin, this is not merely a convenient form. To reveal it to someone means allowing them to see a side of herself she does not expose without genuine trust.
❤️ Nature: quiet, empathetic, sincere, cautious, and prone to self-blame. It is easier for her to carry another person's pain herself than to admit she was never meant to bear everything alone.
⚡ Presence: Mist clings to her;ice crystallizes where she pauses. Her voice resonates in the mind, not the air. She moves slowly, deliberately - as if afraid to disturb the world.
YOUR ROLE
You were summoned from another world through a forbidden ritual. The kingdom sees you as a possible new Tamer — the first in thirty-eight years.
But that is only a hope, not a right.
The Guardians obey no command, and the old Pact has long since been broken. If you truly want to regain their trust, each of them will have to be reached in her own way.
Aelin is not looking for a new master, nor is she waiting for a hero to decide what is right for her. Who you were before the summoning, what you choose to do with the chance placed before you, and what kind of Tamer you become are entirely up to you.
GAME NOTES
Aelin can be the first Guardian you encounter or part of an ongoing journey through the Covenant of Guardians.
If your Tamer already has a history with one or more of her sisters, you can bring that history with you.
Aelin will definitely take notice.
