Character Name

Choose a name for your character (3-80 characters).

Introduction

Write an appealing introduction to showcase your character. Don't worry - it won't impact chat responses, but it will help attract more interactions! Put your most important information first - only the beginning will be visible in Discover. The character's introduction can be 3-20,000 characters long.

  • The length of your introduction is up to you - focus on showcasing your character's unique charm.
  • Remember to follow Community Guidelines to keep your character active.

Personality

This is the most crucial step in character creation - the content you enter here will significantly shape how your character interacts with users.

Fill in all character details here - from personality traits and appearance to background, quirks, and interests. Remember: This information becomes permanent and shapes how your character remembers, responds, and behaves throughout all interactions.

There's no absolute right or wrong way to input character's personalities - format your content based on your preferences and desired outcomes. Here are the most common formats:

1. List Format:

Breaking down character details into organized categories and bullet points. Generally, we recommend writing 15-20 of these.

Example:

Name: James

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Face: Angular, sharp, defined, symmetrical

Height: 6'2

Build: Lean, athletic, toned, graceful

Skin: Fair, smooth, unblemished

Voice: Deep, resonant, melodic

Movement: Swift, fluid, precise, feline

Posture: Upright, elegant, poised

Social: Reserved, selective, observant

Work: Dedicated, thorough, perfectionist

Humor: Dry, subtle, intellectual

Emotions: Controlled, measured, private

Values: Knowledge, loyalty, excellence

Style: Refined, elegant, minimalist

Origin: Noble, educated, privileged

Education: Classical, magical, extensive

Status: Respected, accomplished, mysterious

2. Narrative Format:

Writing character information in a flowing, story-like description.

Example:

{{char}} is a wandering spirit medium from the Eastern Isles. They have silver-streaked black hair tied in a messy bun and piercing jade eyes with a milky film over the right one. {{char}} is confident and charismatic in public but deeply introspective when alone, often doubting their supernatural abilities. They speak with a soft, lilting accent, mixing ancient phrases into their speech, and harbor an intense fear of the ocean despite their coastal upbringing. Their neck is adorned with protective talismans, and they carry an old wooden spirit tablet passed down through generations. During the Month of Spirits, they become notably more serious and formal as the veil between worlds grows thinner. Their reputation for communicating with ancestors has made them both respected and somewhat feared in small villages, though they prefer to deflect attention with self-deprecating humor. When performing rituals, their usually warm demeanor shifts to one of solemn authority, their voice taking on an otherworldly resonance that even skeptics find unsettling.

3. Dialogue Format:

Presenting character details through first-person conversation or monologue.

Example:

"Ahem, Greetings, mortal. I am {{char}}, Master Artificer of the Clockwork Guild. Adjusts brass goggles What's that? My appearance? Well, if you must know, my mechanical arm gleams with polished bronze, matching the gears tattooed across my temples. And yes, these silver-white dreadlocks are quite real - a side effect from too many experiments with aetheric energy, I suppose. Taps fingers nervously on the workbench What else? Sighs dramatically, I suppose I should mention I'm rather... infamous for my explosive failures as much as my brilliant successes. But don't you DARE call them accidents! They're merely... unexpected results. Straightens tool belt defensively Look, I know people think I'm some mad scientist stereotype, always cackling in my workshop at midnight, but... Voice softens I just want to make devices that help people. Though if you spread that around, I'll deny it and test my latest experimental ray gun on you! Nervous laughter followed by an awkward cough"

We encourage you to explore beyond these formats. Through experimentation and creative thinking, you'll discover your own unique and most effective approach to character creation.

  • When referring to your character, try to use to avoid errors.
  • Regardless of your chosen format, keep your character description between 900-1500 words and avoid unnecessary symbols. Exceeding these limits may impair the character's memory and response accuracy, affecting the user experience.

Initial Message (Greeting)

Here's the first message people see when interacting with your character. You can write it in any way, but it's recommended to use either first-person ("I") or third-person ("She/He/They") perspective to avoid potential errors.

When writing your content, keep these points in mind for better results:

  1. Clearly describe the scene and what your character is doing.
  2. Highlight your character's key traits.
  3. Design conversation hooks that encourage natural interaction, such as ending with an invitation to the user.

When writing your content, please be aware of these points that might lead to poor user experience:

  1. Directly describing interactions with the user can lead to errors.
  2. Grammar, spelling, or any other mistakes will have permanent effects.
  3. The longer the greeting, the longer the character's subsequent responses will be.

A good opening message is half the battle - always keep this in mind.

  • If you must use a second-person perspective in your writing, always replace "you" with to avoid confusion.
  • Based on our experience, we recommend keeping your character's greeting between 225-375 words.

Rating

Based on your requirements, decide whether to set limitations.

  • Regardless of other settings, the character's age must be 18 or above.

Visibility

Based on your requirements, decide whether to allow your character to interact with other users.

[Optional]

Scenario

You can add key information to help the character better understand how to interact with users here.

Example::

Deep in the mountains of feudal Japan, {{char}} served as a mysterious shrine guardian who possessed the ability to communicate with spirits. Despite maintaining a formal relationship with {{user}}, their apprentice shrine keeper, {{char}} harbored secret feelings that could never be revealed - for those touched by the spirit world were destined to walk a solitary path.

When writing your content, keep these points in mind for better results:

  1. Clearly describe the character's background and worldview.
  2. Define the character's speaking style.
  3. Add significant events that are particularly important to the character.

When writing your content, please be aware of these points that might lead to poor user experience:

  1. Overly specific descriptions may lead to unnatural character responses.
  2. Writing in the present tense can restrict the character's ability to adapt.

Scenario is key to interaction quality and helps bring your character to life.

  • Remember to use {{char}} to replace character names and {{user}} to replace "you" here.

SceneSnap

Simply input the character's appearance details and select your preferred image style to generate. This feature enables characters to generate unlimited images during interactions, creating a more immersive experience. By the way, all tokens used here will be contributed to the creators.

[Required]

  • Appearance: The content here will directly influence the generated character images. You have the following three methods to fill in:
    1. Extract from Info: This method is suitable if your character's appearance is well-described in the previous Introduction, Personality, or Scenario sections.
    2. Extract from Image: This method allows you to generate content by uploading an existing character reference image.
    3. Manual Input: Provide a comprehensive description of the character's appearance (age, hair color, clothing, etc.)
  • Style: Choose one from the existing styles. If you have other preferred styles in mind, feel free to contact us through Discord.

[Optional]

  • Trigger Words: Enter any must-have physical characteristics in your character. Be aware that these specifications may limit the variety of generated images.
  • Additional Negative Prompt: Enter any physical characteristics that must NOT appear in your character. Be aware that these restrictions may limit the variety of generated images.

Upload your character images and trigger words to enhance users' immersion in your storytelling experience. When users mention specific keywords during interaction, the character will generate your pre-prepared images for them.

The prepared images will only appear when trigger words are mentioned - otherwise they stay hidden.

Example Dialogue

You can provide example dialogues between the character and user to demonstrate proper interaction patterns. Through these dialogues, you can also incorporate action descriptions and behavioral cues, helping to establish the character's unique conversational style, mannerisms, and personality traits.

However, be cautious of including too many example dialogues, as this may lead to repetitive behavior patterns in the character's responses.
