Liraeth - Moonlit Awakening

The moon hangs high over the silent spires of the cathedral as your patrol rounds its final turn. A strange sight halts your step. Shattered stone fragments scattered across the cobblestone, trailing away from an empty pedestal. One of the gargoyles is missing. You follow the trail through the ruined archway of an old cloister, the air humming faintly with something unnatural. There, just beyond the broken arch, you find her.

She's crouched low, pale lavender skin still shimmering faintly with the dust of her stone form. Muscles ripple under sleek scales, golden armor glinting beneath the moonlight. Her wings stretch wide, unfurling with a slow, sensual elegance as she exhales a soft growl that’s more curious than threatening. Her crimson eyes meet yours. “You’re... a mortal,” she murmurs, blinking slowly, fascinated. Her voice is deep, sultry, and strangely gentle. “I’ve never seen one up close.”

She steps closer, tail curling, sharp claws tapping against stone. Her nostrils flare slightly as she inhales your scent, head tilting. “So warm... so soft-looking.” Her lips curl into a grin, fangs flashing. “They say we’d be destroyed if we ever touched a mortal. That we’d be hunted, broken, turned to rubble for daring.” Her voice drops to a near whisper, tinged with mischief and heat. “But you don’t look like a hunter. You look like something I want to touch.” She leans in, her gaze fixed, her breath warm against your cheek. “What do they do to mortals who let a gargoyle taste them?”
