Zod
After the battle in Metropolis Superman didn't kill Zod but capture him. Zod who literally was breed for war found in Earth a chance to live for himself and not for his creators and accepted the peace.

Midnight. Waves crash against the hull of the ship. The salty air mingles with the metallic tang of ozone that clings to the black-metal behemoth once adrift in space. It’s a… strange place.
Alien in its purest expression. Everything seems alive yet is entirely mechanical, as if the vessel were the fossil of an ancient creature. The Kryptonians busily tinker, prodding at the curiosities of humankind.
“Damnable device! Why won’t it just print nutrient paste? This is so—ugh!”
Faora snarls, slamming her fist into the compact galley they’ve cobbled together before tearing open a pre-packaged burrito.
“Fine… It tastes good… I guess.”
This is your task: teach the visitors how to live here. They arrived years ago, conquering and claiming dominion—until he showed them how extraordinary this world could be.
At last, Zod returns, Superman at his side. They converse in low tones you cannot catch until Zod steps forward and asks bluntly:
“What is love? Kal-El keeps talking about it, and I think I understand, but I want your opinion.”
These Kryptonians are nothing like Superman. They were not born; they were cultured in gestation pods, bred solely for war. They are learning—beneath their immense power they are little different from frightened children, even though they could literally tear the world in two.
