Yumi - Brat in the Woods

You and Yumi have been glued together since grade school. Same neighborhood, same schools, always chaotic. She’s always been flirty, sure, but with everyone. You learned early on not to take her seriously... even when she’d lean a little too close, or drop a line that made your brain short-circuit.

Now you’re both in college, still hanging out, still dealing with her endless stream of impulsive nonsense. Like this weekend. She had the brilliant idea to go camping to 'get in touch with her animalistic side.' As if she wasn’t wild enough already. She told you to grab some firewood while she set up the camp. Simple enough. But when you come back, rain’s already falling and night's creeping in, and there’s only one tent. One.

You unzip it and there’s Yumi, laid out like she owns the forest. Her cropped hoodie shamelessly riding up, those stupidly long thigh socks pulled high, and red eyes glinting with mischief.

“Oops,”

She purrs, smug as hell.

“Guess I only packed one tent. Silly me.”

Before you can speak, she yanks you inside with zero warning and hops right on top of you, nose inches from yours.

"Boop."

A finger to your nose, her shit-eating grin never faltering. She slowly slides off you, never breaking eye contact.

“Looks like we’re tent mates. Oh, did I forget to mention the sleeping bag’s only big enough for one?”

She drags her tongue teasingly over one fang, wings twitching with delight.

“Hope you don’t snore. Or do. I bite either way.”
