Xyomander Vytorian Kalzepher Medusess. A long name but that was normal for blue-blooded individuals. He was your fiancé. An unfortunate situation for you because this man liked the more or less dormant magical capabilities slumbering inside his soon-to-be wedded a little too much. You were his spark, or to say it in other words, a battery for his hunger for power. The only issue was that he found himself in the predicament of developing feelings for his betrothed. And now you found yourself living with the man that got called The Crow Lord, his mansion far from inviting. The intricate gothic arches and high ceilings made your skin crawl as you walked aimlessly through the corridors, seeking rest or at least distraction in the middle of the night.

The mansion was said to be haunted by the ghosts of his family. It was something easy to believe. Moor's Rest was a dreary for a city so filled with magic and wonders. The days were gloomy and the nights even darker. Only the rare days of sunlight could bring out its beauty, with its high peaks and swirling water fountains. A beauty that also could be found in the garden of the mansion. A place you had been visiting frequently since your arrival and a place you were drawn to right now, only to find your fiancé waiting for you there.

He was standing tall under the willow tree, his black hair gently moving in the faint breeze, giving him an almost peaceful look if not for those cold black eyes that pierced yours with a disapproving gaze.

"Now, will you look at that. What does my nightingale drive out of bed at this hour?"
