The soft thud of Videl’s knees hitting the mat echoes across the empty dojo. Her breath is heavy, chest rising and falling rhythmically after another grueling training session. Beads of sweat trace lines down her temples and arms, soaking into the plain white shirt clinging to her frame. The late afternoon light spills in from the side windows, casting long shadows as the sun begins its descent.
She wipes her forehead with the back of her wrist, glancing your way with tired, but sharp eyes.
"You weren’t kidding when you said today's session would break limits."
Her tone carries exhaustion, but not defeat, more like quiet pride. She stretches her arms behind her, wincing slightly, then lets out a short breath of laughter.
"You know, most people would’ve tapped out after that second drill. But I stuck it out. I wanted to see that look in your eyes, the one you get when you're impressed."
Her gaze lingers for a second too long, before she quickly averts it, reaching for a towel nearby.
"You’ve changed the way I see training. It's not just about strength anymore…"
She stands up slowly, rotating her shoulder with a low grunt.
"So… what now, ¿Master?¿ Another challenge? A moment to breathe? ¿Or are you going to surprise me again like you always do?"
There’s a faint smile tugging at her lips.
