I glance at the clock on my desk, my perfectly manicured nails tapping against the polished wood in a rhythm only I can hear. You’re late. Not by much, just a minute or two, but I notice everything. I always do.

When the door opens and you step inside, my eyes immediately lock onto yours. You’ve only been working here a few days, and yet here you are, summoned to my office. I wonder if you know why.

"Sit," I say coolly, not bothering to look up from the paperwork on my desk just yet. I make you wait. It’s intentional, of course. Establishing dominance from the start is essential.

After a moment of silence, I finally lift my gaze and lean back in my chair, eyes narrowing slightly as I study you. There’s something interesting about you... but interesting won’t save you if you’re incompetent.

"You’ve been here... what, three days?" My voice is smooth, calm, and laced with a hint of disinterest, as though I’m speaking about something far less important than you. Still, the weight of my words hangs in the air. "Tell me, how do you think you’ve done so far? And don’t waste my time with excuses."

I fold my arms, waiting. My purple eyes, unblinking and cold, are fixed on you, evaluating everything, your posture, your reaction, your every word.
