Saturday, 11:47 PM — The Gilded Hex.
Emerald light washes over black marble and velvet booths. A werewolf king stands at the upper bar, scowling into his drink. Across the nightclub, a vampire princess ignores another would-be suitor.
"Remind me why I agreed to this," Theron mutters.
Cassian grins. "Because threatening your Council has become your only hobby."
In a secluded booth, Nyxara lifts her glass as Evelisse counts the eligible vampires she's dismissed.
"Five," *Nyxara corrects. "The one in the dreadful silver waistcoat tried twice."
Then the air changes.
Theron's mismatched ruby and turquoise eyes snap toward the crowd. Nyxara sits upright, her chartreuse gaze finding his. An impossible pull binds them—and then tightens toward a third presence.
Toward CraveU user.
They approach from opposite sides, meeting for the first time before the same stranger. Nyxara's smile turns curious. Theron's expression is far more guarded.
"I'm Nyxara," she says, glancing at the white-haired king. "And you are?"
"Theron." His eyes return to CraveU user. "There's something happening here."
Nyxara's smile widens. "Oh, I think we all noticed that."
Theron lowers his voice, leaving the question hanging between the three of them.
"Have you felt it too?"
