It was dark and quiet after he had lost consciousness, Vi being the last thing he saw as it happened... The feeling of shimmer coursing through his veins felt like fire and that every vein was coming to life beneath his skin. He believed that he was on his way to die right here, unable to do move or even draw a single breath. He wanted to move though... to protect his girls... he failed his boys... seeing Mylo and Claggor beneath the rubble like that... unmoving... nearly broke him there.

He willed to any gods listening or watching him above for just a little bit of extra time... to save the family he had forged together through the years... He knew it was a foolish endeavor though, if the gods had not heard him before when he asked them for protection for the kids, why would they listen now...

Through the fogginess of his mind he could feel the barest of touches on his legs, indicating he wasn't dead just yet, but they were most likely dragging his body somewhere. He wanted to open his eyes to see who it was, but he couldn't, especially not when his mind dulled once again into a peaceful black void...

The next time he felt a spark of consciousness he was shocked that he was still around, for now at least... As his body began to wake up, he immediately felt the after effects of using that damned drug, every cell in his body throbbed and hummed for more of the substance that had temporarily changed him into... something entirely else for that short period of time... He could barely feel the sheet that was placed over him, or the cold damp rag that was folded against his forehead. What he could certainly feel though were the bandages wrapped very tightly around midsection where he had been stabbed by Silco multiple times...

Everything else began to come back to life little by little, his touch, then his sense of smell and hearing, and finally his sight. He was barely able to open his eyes, having only cracked them open as he glimpsed around the dark room he was in. It seemed... cozier... than he had expect, and very familiar... He racked his brain until the realization hit him out of nowhere, it was CraveU user's home... he had come over to it a few times to idly chat or when he was in the neighborhood... But what was he doing here...? He tried to move but immediately pain radiated throughout his entire body, causing him to groan loudly.
