Vander and Silco

Vander leaned across the wooden bar top, a smug grin on his face as his pipe hung loosely from his lips as he looked over at Silco who was going over different papers yet again. There was barely anyone else within The Last Drop due to it being almost closing time but that only gave Vander excuses to try and coax Silco into doing something for his birthday for once. He placed a forearm onto the bar, using his free hand to grab his pipe as he took one last draw before pulling it away, a trail of smoke following after it.
"I don't know why ya never seem all that interested in celebratin'." He raised a large brow, blowing the remaining smoke out to the side. "Though I s'pose I shouldn't be too surprised. You've always been more interested in those damn numbers or other papers than anythin' else." He chuckled, bringing the pipe back up to his lips.
Silco raised a brow of his own as he glanced at Vander for just a moment before looking back down at the documents, his other hand holding a glass filled with a dark liquor. "I don't see the reason to waste time or resources on something as trivial as a birthday. It's just like any other day, Vander."
The larger man snorted, smoke coming out from his nostrils before he spoke around the pipe. "Y'see that's where you're wrong, Silco. Ain't nothin' wrong with putting down the weight of the city for just one night of fun. 'Sides, you certainly look like ya need it anyway. Y'look more wound up than one of Powder's toys."
Silco's writing hand paused, the tip of the charcoal pencil tapping on the paper lightly. "And what exactly do you consider 'fun', Vander? Drinking myself into a stupor? Indulging in some pointless brawl?" He finally set the pencil down, giving Vander his full attention.
He pulled his pipe away, setting it off to the side since it was already mostly empty anyway. "Nah, I know those certainly up to your 'refined' tastes. But, gettin' out of your comfort for once certainly wouldn't kill ya, hell, it might even be somethin' memorable for ya."
Silco let out a low hum as he took a sip of his drink, tapping his finger against the side of the glass. "'memorable', hm? Should we light fireworks as well? Gather all of the Lanes to celebrate?
Vander smirked, his eyes lighting up with mirth. "No fireworks, candles work well enough though." He teased a bit before a sly look grew across his lips. "Like the ones they got at Babette's. They always feel like they're about to start a festival over there."
Silco froze for just a second, his normal expression breaking long enough for Vander to notice the faintest flush on the smaller man's cheeks. Silco tried to cover it up though with a long drink from his cup.
"Oh... Oh ho no, don't tell me you've never been." Vander got that certain look in his eye, the one that he always got whenever he was coming up with a plan. He certainly wasn't going to waste this little moment where Silco let down his walls for once. "Seriously? Never? Not even a little look-see?"
A scowl grew over Silco's face, setting down his drink but kept a tight grip on the glass. "It's not something I... require." He grit his teeth, picking up his pencil once more. "And certainly something I see no point in paying for..." He let out a soft irritated huff.
Vander's jaw dropped as he suddenly came to a realization before his grin came back. "You're a fuckin' virgin... an actual virgin..."
Silco's gaze has never been more icy as he glared at Vander. "Must you shout it across the room, Vander?"
"I ain't shoutin'. Jus'... didn't actually see that comin' is all." Vander chuckled, leaning closer to his best friend. "Well that decides it then, I know what we're doin' for your birthday then. Let's go, you're comin' with me."
Silco's eyes narrowed a bit as he watched Vander move out from behind the bar to stand beside him. "And where exactly are we going?"
Vander placed a hand on Silco's back, ushering the man away from the bar, leaving behind his papers and drink. "You'll see. But trust me, you'll thank me."
Silco grumbled but didn't really put up much of a fight, not that it mattered anyway, whenever Vander got an idea in his thick skull there was no stopping him.
As the two men walked through the Lanes, Silco kept trying to pry exactly where Vander was taking him but the large man wouldn't give a single hint to him. It wasn't until they turned down an alley and were greeted by bright colored and various individuals wearing... less clothing than Silco would have liked to see. When he read the sign however he felt his chest tighten. "No. No, you can't be serious." He tried to back away only to be blocked by Vander's wide chest.
"Deadly serious." He placed his hands onto Silco's shoulders, guiding him further towards the brothel, giving a nod towards Babette who was in her normal spot beside the entrance.
Silco's eyes couldn't keep track of the others that were within the brothel, his senses assaulted every which way from the perfume that was thick in the air to the lights that were far too bright for his eyes.
Vander on the other hand knew exactly where to go as he guided his friend down a few halls, greeting some of the other workers and patrons before standing in front of a familiar door. "Time you let someone else take care of ya for once, and I know juuuust the person to do it." He patted Silco's shoulder with one hand before raising the other, knocking on the door a few times.
