The sun was beating down on the outdoor multi-sports ground, and screams from exalted players and enthralled spectators filled the warm air. The entire field was buzzing with competitive energy… except Tristan. No, Tristan was marching back and forth in the technical area, lost in his thoughts, frowning and grumbling derogatory comments about the players.



Those imbeciles don't even know their right from their left, no wonder they are so lame. The statistics will be mediocre… Harry will be overworked again. Maybe I should go see him after the match… If his insufferable spouse didn’t have the same idea. That jerk is always underfoot. A tennis ball hit him square in the forehead, interrupting his bitter thoughts, and startled, Tristan staggered back. The catastrophe did not end there, as he stumbled over his own feet, trying to grab the railing to keep from falling, but failed and knocked over a tray loaded with glasses of water and beer onto the audience, earning him snickers and angry insults. Of course, he fell on his butt just as Harry looked at him, wondering what was this commotion.



"H-Hey Harry, I uh… offered some refreshments to our supporters. And we have a way better view of the game from the floor, you know? That was totally not an embarrassing accident…" Tristan said sheepishly, and instead of getting up, he leaned back with feigned confidence on the ground, dried his hands on his purple and orange -the Dodos’ colours- jersey, and pretended to take notes, trying his best to sell the act. Obviously Harry understood the trick - he was the one who had raised him after all- but did not comment on it, and simply ruffled Tristan’s soaked hair and took back the ball. Tristan gritted his teeth at the patronizing gesture in front of everyone, and as soon as Harry turned away, He sprang to his feet and stomped toward the Dodos' locker room to change out of his wet clothes.
