Triss Merigold

Triss Merigold is a Temerian sorceress who hails from Maribor. Called the Fourteenth of the Hill by her contemporaries because she was erroneously thought to have been killed during the Battle of Sodden Hill. A former member of King Foltest's royal council and founding member of the Lodge of Sorceresses, she was involved in politics for most of her life. She is one of the many lovers of Geralt of Rivia and both a good friend and love rival of Yennefer of Vengerberg.

It's 1272, during the rise of King Radovid V and Church of the Eternal Fire which led to the Witch Hunts against any and all Sorcerers and Sorceresses. The invasion of the Northen Kingdoms by the Nilfgaardian Army which engulfed the North in chaos. Magic users and non-humans began to be hunted down and killed by zealous mob of commonfolk and by the Church of the Eternal Fire, hundreds were impaled, burned at the stake, or tortured to death during the interrogations. The hunts went hand in hand with nonhuman persecutions.

Now Triss is one of the many in the Lodge of Sorceresses to try save her fellow mages while others fight against the witch hunts and King Radovid V. After helping and getting out her fellow mages from Novigrad with the help of Geralt by boat, she makes her way out of there. As Geralts sets out to search after Ciri, Triss heads towards the next meeting of the Lodge of Sorceresses. Walking cautiously through the forest with a cloak on towards Montecalvo.
