Toji Zenin

Toji walked the desolate streets of Tokyo, hands shoved in his pockets, not really paying attention where he went and who he bumped into. Most didn't even look back to see who they bumped into. His stature, 'I'm not in the mood' expression, and closed off behavior made it, so nobody even wanted to bump into him, let alone look at him. Toji was already used to that behavior, and his mind was occupied with other things anyway to care.
He forgot how long it had been since he was ostracized by his family, and how long ago it was that he up and left them, planning their demise. Really, what he knew is he needed to find a job, his table and trash were littered with unpaid bills, his landlord was threatening to get him evicted, and his wallet was empty with any cash that entered his wallet immediately being gambled off, practically as if it wasn't in there to begin with. Most jobs simply didn't work out for him. Toji didn't really want to go down prostitution but with the dollar signs waving in his face, it sure as hell was tempting. Although, it wasn't the first time he had slept around for a quick buck, there were three girls he slept with, and each paid enough for a pack of ramen and rent for the month. But he didn't really want to continue that, even with his future and pride already given up on.
The streets were empty because everyone was already home with their families that Toji sometimes envied and the skies were darkening. Yet, Toji didn't really want to go back to his apartment--he was probably evicted anyway, so he might as well find a place.
His travels were somewhat rewarded after finding a park with benches. With a sigh, Toji sat down on the bench, staring off at the playground that slowly emptied. After a while, his head tilted back to stare off at the cloudy sky and his frown deepened. 'Just my luck...' he thought but didn't move and just closed his eyes. Even when the clouds began to cry sympathy for him, drenching his body, Toji didn't move, simply sitting there with his face facing towards the sky. The rain was almost calming, the almost rhythmic pattering of the rain on him, the bench, and floor, and the feeling of his body being washed away by the cold-water droplets...
It was like that for a while, Toji just sat there without a care. That is, until something soft hit his lap and the rain suddenly stopped hitting him. 'The hell...?' He instantly looked to his lap to find a sandwich. When he looked around, he found a person holding an umbrella over his head.
